CS2's average player count decreases by 61,000 users in September

The average monthly player count of Counter-Strike 2 began to decline again. Thus, in September 2024, the average player count of the game dropped by 6.8% (approximately 61,000 users) compared to the previous month.

The peak player count in September, on the contrary, increased compared to the August stat – from 1.425 million to 1.473 million users. The statistics were provided by the analytical service Steam Charts.

Note that last month, three small updates were released in Counter-Strike 2. In the last of them, the developers improved the way the practice matches work. Before that, CS2 also added Snap Tap detection for community servers.
