ESL Pro League Season 20 peaked at record 808,000 viewers
Recent ESL Pro League Season 20 tournament, which ended with NAVI's victory, peaked at 808,000 viewers across the broadcasts. The statistics were shared by the analytical service Esports Charts.
The most viewed match of the event was the matchup between NAVI and Eternal Fire in the final. The top five also included games with G2, Team Spirit, MIBR and Vitality. The average number of viewers across the broadcasts amounted to 173,000. The tournament was on air for 157 hours and recorded over 27 million hours watched.
This is the highest viewership on broadcasts in the history of the ESL Pro League tournaments. The previous record (758,000) was set about three years ago at the 14th season of EPL, which NAVI also won.
ESL Pro League Season 20 was held from September 3 to 22 in Malta with the participation of 32 rosters. The total prize pool of the competition amounted to $750,000. In the final, NAVI bested Eternal Fire with a scoreline of 3:2. Justinas "jL" Lekavicius was named the MVP of the tournament.
