JOTA becomes free agent

26-year-old Brazilian esports athlete Jhonatan "JOTA" Willian departed South American organization Imperial and became a free agent. Imperial's management officially announced this via social media accounts.

Jhonatan represented Imperial from January to September last year, after which the club benched him. In early 2024, Willian competed for the Brazilian team LOS on a loan deal for several weeks; in February, the organization disbanded the roster, and Willian has been inactive since then.

There is no news about JOTA's future plans yet. During his entire career as a pro Counter-Strike player, which began in 2018, Jonathan has earned $65,000 in prize money in the discipline. As part of Imperial, he secured first place at BLAST Premier Spring American Showdown 2023 and placed in the top 4 at BLAST Premier Spring Final 2023. Before Imperial, he represented teams such as MIBR, Bravos, Keyd Stars, and others.
