Liquid eliminated from ESL Pro League Season 20 after losing to G2
Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski's squad became the last semi-finalist of the 20th season of ESL Pro League in Counter-Strike 2, thus securing at least 3rd-4th place at the tournament.
In the quarter-finals of the playoffs, G2 bested Liquid with a scoreline of 2:1 (13:3 on Inferno, 5:13 on Mirage, 13:3 on Nuke). Liquid finished the event in 5th-8th place and earned $32,000 in prize money. G2 advanced to the next round of the competition bracket, where they will compete against NAVI for a spot in the final.
Note that ESL Pro League Season 20 is held from September 3 to 22 in Malta with the participation of 32 rosters. The total prize pool of the tournament is $750,000.
