BIG and HEROIC eliminated from ESL Pro League Season 20

First two matches of the opening round of the ESL Pro League Season 20 playoffs have ended in Malta, with The MongolZ and Virtus.pro securing victories.

Damjan "kyxsan" Stoilkovski's squad defeated Virtus.pro (13:8 on Ancient, 13:6 on Dust2), while Byambasuren "bLitz" Garidmagnai-led team bested BIG (19:22 on Ancient, 13:11 on Nuke, 13:9 on Mirage). The winners advanced to the next round of the tournament bracket, while the losers left the competition, taking 13th-16th place and earning $17,500 in prize money.

Today, the organizers of ESL Pro League Season 20 will hold two more matches in the first round of the playoffs: at 16:15 CEST, Team Spirit will face FURIA, while at 19:30 CEST, FaZe will compete against Complexity.
