NickelBack enters free agency
Russian esports athlete Aleksei "NickelBack" Trofimov departed AMKAL as a free agent. According to the official announcement published on the club's Telegram channel, the parties terminated the contract by mutual agreement.
Trofimov represented AMKAL from December 2023 to April 2024, after which the team put him on the bench, where he remains to this day.
Prior to this, NickelBack competed for 1WIN, Entropiq, EPG and other squads. Over the course of his career as a Counter-Strike 2 pro player, he has earned $179,000 in prizes.
In April-May of this year, Trofimov played as a stand-in for FORZE at ESL Pro League Season 19, which took place in Malta. With him, the roster secured 21th-28th place at the event.
