PARIVISION disqualified from RMR over F_1N
Tournament operator Perfect World announced that PARIVISION was disqualified from the Europe RMR for Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024.
The organizers explained their decision by the fact that during the match against GamerLegion in the closed qualifier, PARIVISION's coach Ivan "F_1N" Kochugov, who is restricted from participating in Valve Majors due to being banned for using a coaching bug, was in the same room with the roster. At the same time, according to HLTV's sources Kochugov was officially submitted as PARIVISION's coach due to an oversight by Perfect World.
Moreover, other employees of the organization (for example, the cameraman who was filming the events) were in the same room with the players during the match, which is prohibited by the Major rulebook. Evidence of the violation was published via social media accounts by PARIVISION's representatives themselves while showing the players' emotions after the victory.
Three teams that finished the closed qualifier with a 2-3 score will compete for the vacant slot at the Europe RMR: BLEED, Monte and KOI. The dates of the matches will be announced later.
Note, the RMRs for Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 will be held in November in China. The Major itself kicks off on November 30. The tournament will feature a prize pool of $1.25 million. The results of the European qualifier can be found via the link.
