First matches of IEM Cologne 2024 playoffs played out with incorrect settings
Organizers of IEM Cologne 2024 tournament in Cologne loaded the wrong server configuration during two matches of the quarter-final round of the playoffs (MOUZ vs. G2 and SAW vs. FaZe).
Thus, the T side players received $800 as part of their loss bonus (after planting the bomb) instead of $600. One of the Reddit users found out about this – an ESL representative confirmed this information.
According to the organizers, this situation happened due to a human error. The issue has already been fixed – all subsequent matches of the event will be played with the correct server settings.
IEM Cologne 2024 is held from August 7 to 18 in Cologne, Germany. The total prize pool of the competition is one million US dollars. The winner will secure $400,000 and tickets to IEM Katowice 2025 and BLAST Premier World Final 2024.
