Vitality advances to IEM Cologne 2024 semi-finals; Liquid out of tournament

Group stage of one of the main Counter-Strike 2 tournaments of 2024 has ended in Cologne. Based on the results of the final two matches, the last participant of the final stage of the event has been determined.

In the lower bracket final of Group B, FaZe defeated Liquid (13:9 on Inferno, 13:16 on Nuke, 16:13 on Mirage). Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken's squad placed 7th-8th at the tournament and received $24,000 in prize money. FaZe, in turn, advanced to the top 6 of IEM Cologne 2024.

Moreover, Vitality became the second semi-finalist of the competition – in a match for reaching the top 4, the Dan "apEX" Madesclaire-led roster prevailed over MOUZ (13:6 on Dust2, 16:13 on Vertigo). Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek's team will kick off their journey in the playoffs from the quarter-finals.
