Virtus.pro and FURIA eliminated from IEM Cologne 2024

Two more participants of IEM Cologne 2024 got eliminated from the group stage of the competition based on the results of today's matches. The rosters in question are Virtus.pro and FURIA.

In the first round of the lower bracket of Group B, Dzhami "Jame" Ali's squad was defeated by Falcons (11:13 on Vertigo, 13:8 on Mirage, 8:13 on Dust2), while the Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo-led team lost to Liquid (13:15 on Dust2, 4:13 on Nuke). The winners advanced to the next losers' round, while the losers secured 13th-16th places at the tournament and won $10,000 in prize money.

The organizers of IEM Cologne 2024 have four more matches scheduled for today: at 15:45 CEST, MOUZ will face Complexity, while FaZe will compete against Vitality – the winners will secure spots in the playoffs. At 18:45 CEST, The MongolZ will face paiN, while Astralis will fight G2 – the losers will leave the event.
