paiN and The MongolZ – last participants of IEM Cologne 2024 group stage

The final matches of the Play-In stage at IEM Cologne 2024 have ended – the last two slots in the group stage of the tournament have found their owners.

In the second round of the lower bracket, paiN bested MIBR (13:10 on Mirage, 4:13 on Anubis, 13:3 on Vertigo), while The MongolZ knocked out Eternal Fire from the event (4:13 on Anubis, 13:8 on Mirage, 16:14 on Nuke). The winners advanced to the next stage of the competition, where they will be joined by eight invitees, while the losers secured 17th-20th places and $4,500 in prize money.

The group stage of IEM Cologne 2024 will be held from August 10 to 13 in a Double Elimination format. The three strongest squads from each group will advance to the playoffs of the competition.
