American team disqualified from ESL Challenger League Season 48 [Updated]

Update (21:30 CEST): Perseverance have released their roster after being banned by ESL.

Tournament operator ESL has disqualified one of the participants of the 48th season of the ESL Challenger League in the North American region. The roster in question is Perseverance, which currently occupies 126th place in HLTV ranking.

According to ESL's official announcement, the squad falsified a request to reschedule the match – because of this, the team was not only suspended, but also banned for two months from all ESL FACEIT Group events.

Last week, it came to our attention that Perseverance Gaming submitted false evidence to mislead the tournament administration in an effort to have an ESL Challenger League match rescheduled. Following a thorough investigation into this violation, we have decided to disqualify the team from ESL Challenger League Season 48. Additionally, we are suspending the team and its players from all EFG pro competitions for two months.

Thus, Perseverance not only lost its slot at Challenger League, but also was stripped the opportunity to participate in the qualifiers for the upcoming tournaments IEM Rio 2024, ESL Challenger Atlanta 2024 and ESL Challenger Katowice 2024.

 Perseverance are:

 John "mds" Marin
 Gabriel "Gabe" Shah
 Collin "CoJoMo" Moren
 Cory "shutout" Frymark
 Nelvin "nooz" Gonzalez
