G2 knock Team Spirit out of Esports World Cup 2024

Janusz "⁠Snax" Pogorzelski-led roster became the first semi-finalist of one of the main Counter-Strike 2 tournaments of 2024 – Esports World Cup 2024.

In the first round of the playoffs, G2 defeated Team Spirit with a scoreline of 2:1 (13:8 on Mirage, 14:16 on Nuke, 13:5 on Ancient). Leonid "chopper" Vishnyakov's squad finished their journey at the event, placing 5th-8th and receiving $40,000 as a reward.

G2, in turn, secured at least 3rd-4th place and $85,000 in prizes. In the next round of the bracket, the roster will face the winner of the Vitality – Virtus.pro matchup.
