Team Croatia disqualified from IESF for cheating

The International Esports Federation (IESF) has banned Team Croatian from further participation in the Eastern European qualifier for 2024 IESF World Esports Championship in Counter-Strike 2.

According to the comment from IESF representative, the tournament judges discovered that the Croatian esports athletes used cheats during the match against Team Israel in the upper bracket of the qualifier. The results of matches that took place after that game will not be reviewed.

Team Croatian was disqualified before the match for a ticket to the LAN final, in which it had to face Team Poland.

Eastern European qualification for IESF World Esports Championship 2024 takes place from July 6 to July 14 online. The five strongest participants in the competition will go to the LAN final, which will be held in Riyadh this November: the teams of Turkey, Ukraine, Poland, Romania and Serbia.
