HLTV: BLAST plans to hold first Major of 2025 in USA

Tournament operator BLAST aims to host the first Major of 2025 in the United States. HLTV reported this citing data from several sources.

Journalists found out that Austin, Texas, is being considered as the city that will host the Major. BLAST refused to comment on this information, while Valve did not respond to HLTV's request.

As of now, it is officially unknown who will host tournaments of the Major series in 2025. The first of the two events is scheduled for June 9-22, the second one – for December 1-14.

Note that BLAST has already hosted a Major before: the tournament operator organized the last CS:GO Major – BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023.

The last time the USA hosted the prestigious tournament from Valve in 2018. That Major was held under the auspices of ELEAGUE in two cities – Atlanta and Boston.
