Virtus.pro and FaZe win first matches in ESL Pro League Season 19 playoffs
The 12 strongest teams of the tournament were determined at ESL Pro League Season 19 – GamerLegion and Monte were eliminated from the tournament following the first playday of the playoffs.
The Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski-led roster lost to Virtus.pro in the first round of the bracket (11:13 on Anubis, 11:13 on Mirage), while Volodymyr "Woro2k" Veletniuk's squad was defeated by FaZe (7:13 on Vertigo, 16:14 on Nuke, 10:13 on Mirage).
Both losing teams shared 13th-16th place with BIG and BetBoom Team, receiving $17,500 in prizes. Virtus.pro and FaZe advanced to the next round, where they will face TheMongolz and NAVI, respectively.
Note that ESL Pro League Season 19 runs from April 23 to May 12 in Malta. The total prize pool of the event is $750,000. The winner of the tournament will secured a ticket to IEM Cologne 2024.
