Virtus.pro and G2 to compete in Round of 16 of ESL Pro League Season 19 playoffs

The final matches of Groups A and B played out at ESL Pro League Season 19. Vitality and TheMongolz faced off for the highest seed in the playoffs, while the Virtus.pro – SAW and G2 – M80 matchups determined the holders of the last tickets to the next stage of the tournament.

The match between Vitality and TheMongolz, which had previously secured the playoff spots, ended with a scoreline of 2:0 – 13:10 on Mirage and 13:6 on Nuke. As a result, Dan "apEX" Madesclaire's roster advanced to the quarter-finals, while the Mongolian squad will kick off the stage from the Round of 12.

The Virtus.pro – SAW and G2 – M80 matches in the lower bracket finals of Groups A and B, respectively, ended with victories for the higher-rated teams. The Bears won with a scoreline of 2:0 (13:3 on Vertigo and 13:10 on Overpass), while the Samurai also finished the series in two maps (22:20 on Ancient and 13:6 on Inferno).

Note that groups C and D will be played from April 30 to May 5. In turn, the playoffs will take place from May 7 to 12.
