Monte and Metizport leave Global Esports Tour Rio 2024
The first two outsiders have been determined at the ongoing LAN tournament Global Esports Tour Rio 2024. Monte and Metizport suffered two losses in a row, getting eliminated from the tournament.
Having dropped into the lower bracket, Monte lost to OG with a scoreline of 1:2 – 11:13 on Ancient, 13:6 on Mirage and 7:13 on Vertigo. In the second matchup, Metizport got defeated by FURIA with a scoreline of 1:2 – 14:16 on Overpass, 13:8 on Vertigo and 19:22 on Inferno.
The semi-final matches of the upper bracket also played out today, with Imperial and paiN securing victories. At the same time, 9z and MIBR fell into the lower bracket.
The playday at Global Esports Tour Rio 2024 will continue with the quarter-final matches of the lower bracket, namely MIBR – FURIA and 9z – OG. Moreover, on the night of April 20, the upper bracket final will take place, in which Imperial and paiN will face off.
