OverDrive: Virtus.pro buys out electroNic from Cloud9 for over $1.5 million

Denis "electroNic" Sharipov's transfer from Cloud9 to Virtus.pro costed over $1.5 million. Insider Alexey "OverDrive" Birukov reported this via his Twitter account.

Earlier today, Virtus.pro CEO Nikolai Petrossian stated that he was ready to reveal the buyout of the Russian esports athlete, but must first receive permission from Cloud9. He described the fee paid as huge.

It also became known from Petrossian's interview that the clubs agreed on the transfer in just five days, while the deal was finalized on an individual basis, without holding an auction .

Note that electroNic's move to Virtus.pro was officially announced on April 15. The Bears' rookie replaced Nikolay "mir" Bityukov.
