CLASIA replaces MarKE in Nouns

Mexican esports athlete Edgar "MarKE" Maldonado has been excluded from the Nouns main roster. The corresponding information was shared via the social media accounts of the North American club.

The new Nouns player is Anthony "CLASIA" Kearney. However, the 20-year-old American will have to pass a trial period before receiving a contract.

The decision to replace MarKE, who has represented Nouns since February of last year, was likely driven by a series of disappointing results at the start of the year. In particular, the team failed to qualify for PGL Major Copenhagen 2024, IEM Chengdu 2024, IEM Dallas 2024, ESL Challenger Jönköping 2024 and BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2024, despite having a status of a favorite in most of them.

As for CLASIA, he is already familiar with the core of the current Nouns roster in Carson "nosraC" O'Reilly, Christopher "cJ dA K1nG" Jones and Jeorge "Jeorge" Endicott. He competed with them for Evil Geniuses Black, but was benched due to unsportsmanlike conduct.

The updated Nouns roster has already debuted at the open qualifier for Esports World Cup 2024. On the night of April 18, two closing matches will play out, which will allow to advance to the closed stage of the North American qualifier.

 Nouns are now:

 Carson "nosraC" O'Reilly
 Christopher "cJ dA K1nG" Jones
 Paytyn "junior" Johnson
 Jeorge "Jeorge" Endicott
Anthony "CLASIA" Kearney

 Eric "adreN" Hoag (coach)
