Virtus.pro signs electroNic

Cloud9's Denis "electroNic" Sharipov moved to Virtus.pro. The new team of the Russian esports athlete published the corresponding announcement on its official website.

In Virtus.pro Sharipov replaced Nikolay "mir" Bityukov, who, with the signing of the rookie, has found himself on the bench.

electroNic explained his decision to continue career with Virtus.pro, citing the strong roster and similar ambitions, as well as expressed his desire to play with the Bears' IGL, Dzhami "Jame" Ali.

Virtus.pro is a top team. The core of the roster has won a Major not while ago, and all the players are in their prime and ready for victories right now. We share the same ambitions and goals. Besides, I’m also excited about the idea of playing with Jame, as he’s one of the most unique IGLs in the game. Can’t wait to adapt to my new team and start doing what I came here for – winning trophies.

Sharipov has been competing for Cloud9 for the past nine months. The team's greatest achievements during this period were 3rd-4th place at Thunderpick World Championship 2023 and BLAST Premier Fall Final 2023, as well as getting into the top 8 at PGL Major Copenhagen 2024.

As of now, it is unclear when Virtus.pro's rookie will debut. The Russian squad's nearest tournament will be ESL Pro League Season 19, which kicks off in a week, while in a month, the updated roster will participate in BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 and CCT Season 1 Global Finals.
