OverDrive: Aurora buys r3salt out for ~$270,000

The cost of transferring Evgeny "r3salt" Frolov from FORZE to Aurora was about 25 million rubles (~$270,000). Insider Alexey "OverDrive" Birukov shared this information via his Telegram channel.

According to the source, Aurora took advantage of the buyout option in Frolov's contract. The transfer of the 19-year-old Russian was officially announced on April 2.

Notably, after the sale of their leader, FORZE management decided to reassemble the lineup. All four roster members were benched whilst considering new opportunities for the club.

r3salt's debut for Aurora has already taken place. With the rookie, the Russian squad won three matches in a row at the European qualifier for ESL Challenger Jönköping 2024 and today, April 4, will face the winner of the Metizport – NIP matchup in the grand final.
