NAVI sets record for number of finals played at Majors
Reaching the final of PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 marks sixth appearance in Major finals for Ukrainian club NAVI. This is a record result at Valve's world championships.
NAVI broke the record of the legendary NIP roster, which dominated the pro scene in the early years of CS:GO. The Swedish team with Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund and Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg have been to the Major finals five times.
Previous Major finals with NAVI's participation are:
- DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca 2015 – loss to EnVyUs
- MLG Columbus 2016 - loss to Luminosity
- FACEIT Major London 2018 - loss to Astralis
- PGL Major Stockholm 2021 - victory against G2
- PGL Major Antwerp 2022 - loss to FaZe
Note that in the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 final, the Black-and-Yellow will face FaZe. The match will play out today, March 31, at 20:00 CET.
