FTW leaves Counter-Strike pro scene

Portuguese multigaming FTW is closing its Counter-Strike division. The club published a corresponding announcement via its official website.

According to the press release, this decision was made for the purpose of economic restructuring. The management hopes to balance the implementation of its current and delayed projects, which would not be possible with further investment in the CS2 roster.

For The Win has been represented on the Counter-Strike pro scene continuously since 2013. The club was a strong player on the national level, but did not reach any significant heights in international competitions.

It is currently unknown whether the FTW players will continue to compete together. Note that a week earlier the team won the Portuguese tournament Master League Portugal Season 13.
