Global Esports Tour Rio 2024 with participation of strongest Brazilian teams announced

The organizers of the Global Esports Tour tournament series have announced the 2024 event, which will take place from April 18 to 21 in Rio de Janeiro. Participation in the championship was confirmed by FURIA, Imperial, MIBR and Fluxo.

In total, eight rosters will compete at Global Esports Tour Rio 2024, which will feature a prize pool of $200K. It is currently unknown how the holders of the remaining slots will be determined.

The Maracanãzinho arena, which is part of the famous Maracanã sport complex, will become the venue for the tournament. Up to 12K people will be able to spectate the competition in person.

Notably, Global Esports Tour Rio 2024 will also host a women's Counter-Strike tournament. Four invitees, including FURIA and Fluxo, will fight for $10K in prizes.
