Astralis, BetBoom and fnatic lose their chances to qualify for PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024
Astralis, BetBoom and fnatic finish qualifiers for PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024. In the first part of the additional stage of the Europe RMR, they were defeated by 9 Pandas, Guild Eagles and GamerLegion, respectively.
The playday was opened with the match between Astralis and 9 Pandas, in which the Russian team came out on top with the scoreline of 2:0 – 13:11 on Overpass and 13:8 on Nuke. Afterwards, Guild Eagles proved its superiority against BetBoom, winning in two maps – 13:4 on Overpass and 13:10 on Ancient. The last matchup, which played out between fnatic and GamerLegion also ended with a clean result – 16:14 on Vertigo and 13:7 on Ancient.
In the second stage of the Last Chance Qualifier, 9 Pandas, Guild Eagles and GamerLegion will compete against each other in a Gauntlet format. According to the Buchholz system, 9 Pandas received the highest seeding and will fight directly in a match for the Major spot, while Guild Eagles and GamerLegion will determine the strongest in a semi-final match.
