broky opens top 10 best players of 2023

FaZe's AWPer Helvijs "broky" Saukants has been ranked 10th in the list of the best players of 2023 according to the reputable portal HLTV.org. This is the third consecutive appearance in the top 20 for the Latvian esports athlete.

Together with FaZe, the sniper won ESL Pro League Season 17 and CS Asia Championships 2023. In addition, in 2023, Saukants secured the Intel Grand Slam S4 award, winning $1 million in gold bars.

As HLTV.org editors noted, broky landed in the top 20 because of five exceptionally valuable player (EVP) awards, 67 clutches won (3rd place in the world) and 64.6% opening kill success (5th place). In addition, Saukants twice was one step away from receiving the MVP title at IEM Sydney 2023 and Thunderpick World Championship 2023, while his average rating amounted to 1.13.

HLTV.org will publish the top 20 players of 2023 every day from December 27 to January 13, 2024. The winner of the 9th place will be announced tomorrow, January 7, at 20:00 CET.
