Cloud9 acquire Evil Geniuses' BLAST Premier slot

North American organization Cloud9 became a BLAST Premier partner. The tournament operator announced this via its official website.

It was reported that Cloud9 acquired the slot of Evil Geniuses. According to rumors, EG intend to leave Counter-Strike and esports in general.

Presumably the partnership agreement will only last until 2024. The reason for this is the fact that from 2025, invites to all tournaments will be issued based on Valve's ranking system.

From now on, the list of BLAST Premier partners includes Astralis, NIP, G2, OG, Vitality, NAVI, FaZe, Complexity, Liquid, Heroic, BIG, and Cloud9.

The first BLAST Premier event of the 2024 season will be BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2024. The competition will take place from January 22 to 28.
