Swani to step down as G2 coach after BLAST Premier World Final 2023

German coach Jan "Swani" Müller has announced that he will depart G2 after the current season. The last tournament for the coach with the Samurai will be BLAST Premier World Final 2023.

Müller shared on his Twitter account that coaching in G2 had taken a toll on him. The German added that due to heavy workload and a busy schedule, he began to feel much worse.

Swani took on the role of G2 coach late last year after Rémy "XTQZZZ" Quoniam departed the team. Initially, the German joined the roster on a temporary basis, but a few months in, he became a permanent coach of the team.

Under his guidance, the Samurai won IEM Katowice 2023 and IEM Cologne 2023, and also reached the semi-finals of BLAST Premier Spring Final 2023, Gamers8 2023 and IEM Sydney 2023.

BLAST Premier World Final 2023 will take place from December 13 to 17 in Abu Dhabi, UAE. In the first match of the event, G2 will face MOUZ.
