Skin prices in CS2 drop by 50% since official announcement

Analytical service Pricempire discovered that since the announcement of Counter-Strike 2, the total cost of the 300 most popular skins has dropped by 50%. The sample included prices from March to November 2023.

The current price of the aforementioned list of skins has plummeted to $24K. The last time this level was recorded in the fall of 2022.

Notably, the price drop happened back in September, when the official announcement of CS2 took place. Since then, skin prices kept going down, hitting their lowest point within the studied timeframe.

Valve officially released Counter-Strike 2 on September 27. Then all users received access to the game.
