Tournament break dates for summer 2024 unveiled

The traditional summer break in the professional Counter-Strike scene in 2024 will last from June 17 to July 14. This was announced by ESL FACEIT Group's SVP Game Ecosystems Ulrich Schulze on Twitter.

In a comment to Dust2.us, Schulze assured that the dates were chosen considering the tournament schedule and the preferences of esports athletes. The major tournament organizers aimed for a balanced schedule throughout the year.

Also, the SVP Game Ecosystems of ESL FACEIT Group said that the Counter-Strike Professional Players Association (CSPPA) did not participate in the discussions, since the organization's activities were suspended. Instead, the TO consulted with the Player Council as part of the so-called Louvre Agreement under the auspices of ESL.

Thus, the next tournament summer break will start the day after BLAST Premier Spring Final 2024, while the first event after the break will be IEM Cologne 2024, which will take place in early August.
