World No. 3 tennis player to become M80's co-owner

Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev, currently ranked No. 3 in the world, will become a co-owner of the North American organization M80. Club's co-founder Marco Mereu spoke about this in an interview with Sheep Esports.

Reportedly, Medvedev will become one of the club's shareholders and board members starting next year. However, the tennis player is already involved in managing the organization's esports teams.

Notably, M80 signed its first Counter-Strike roster last summer. The team managed to participate in several events, competing at the LAN tournament ESL Pro League Season 18.

This is not the first time that world sports stars become co-owners of esports organizations. A few days earlier, Inter Miami FC football player Lionel Messi was announced as the partner of KRU, which intends to sign a CS2 roster in 2024.
