BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 is last Major in CS:GO history

Valve have announced via their social media accounts that BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 with a $1.25 million prize pool, scheduled for May 8-21, will be the last Major in CS:GO, after which the professional scene will transition to the previously announced Counter-Strike 2.

The developers have canceled the second Major of 2023 and announced the first Counter-Strike 2 Major, which will play out in March 2023. Valve did not reveal the venue or other details of the event.

Valve originally planned to organize two Majors in 2023, which were scheduled for May and November. BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 was unveiled last year, while the second Major was not announced.

Counter-Strike 2 will be released this summer. The Limited Test is currently underway with the selected esports athletes and casual players participating in it.
