NiKo on m0NESY's problems: "There is something that we are working on with him"

Giving an interview to the organizers of BLAST Premier Fall Final 2022, G2's Nikola "NiKo" Kovač spoke about his team's AWPer Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov's communication issues. He noted that during the matches, the Russian should not only share standard information with teammates but also manage them more often.

Ever since he joined, we could see that he has a huge potential. He has been really good ever since he joined, but there is something that we are working on with him, such as communication. By communication I mean not just giving info but rather moving your teammates around, telling what you cover so what they need to do and so on. So those things are what he can improve on. It's what all the good AWPers are having. It's what we are trying to work on with him. It's going to take time, it takes experience. You can't just fix it from practice to practice, you know. It really takes a lot of time, especially in these high-intense games it's even harder. There is a slow progression, but we all know he has what it takes to be one if the best players in the world.

m0NESY has been representing G2 since the beginning of this year. The team's best result during this time was a second-place finish at IEM Katowice 2022.

The interview with NiKo took place shortly before the G2 – Heroic semifinal match at BLAST Premier Fall Final 2022. At the time of publication of the material, this meeting had already kicked off. You can follow up on the big BLAST event in CSGO.com's match center via this link.
