Movistar Riders hit HLTV.org ranking's top 5 for the first time in their history

Movistar Riders are featured among the top five teams in the world according to HLTV.org for the first time since the Spanish organization has been around in the CS:GO pro scene. Following another weekly update of the reputable ranking, the team has risen from seventh to fifth place, overtaking G2 and Vitality.

Over the past week, Movistar Riders did not play a single match but gained 34 points through the reduced influence of old results and increased relevance of the team's recent, more successful performances. In turn, G2 and Vitality, who were also on the break since mid-September, on the contrary, lost 17 and 59 points, respectively.

Separately worth noting is the progress of MOUZ and Heroic, who, after their successful runs in the group stage of ESL Pro League Season 16, hold sixth and tenth spots, respectively.

Outside the leader zone, each team saw its position change depending on the latest results. New faces in the top 30 are HEET, Bad News Eagles and Eternal Fire.

The HLTV.org's ranking is updated weekly and primarily takes into account the results for the last two months. The team's achievements over the past year are also considered, while the number of points for past success decreases every month.
