m0NESY criticizes FACEIT's matchmaking system

During a live stream on Twitch, G2 player Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov criticized the matchmaking system on the competitive platform FACEIT. Speaking on this topic, he gave a personal example of when he and two other high-level players got matched up with a weaker player.

There are three of us joining the game. We have about 12-14K ELO for three. They get you a guy so that he balances the team and lowers the average ELO. You get 25 points, but you play for -25 because you end up losing. It's either you solo carry the game, or you hope for some miracle that the guy with the third level will get at least ten kills. That's why FACEIT's system is shit.

Earlier, m0NESY topped the player ranking on FACEIT. The G2's AWPer recorded an impressive 6158 ELO.

FACEIT is the leading competitive platform for CS:GO. In particular, it organizes leagues for professional and semi-professional players, the most prestigious of which is the FACEIT Pro League (FPL) featuring the strongest esports athletes.
