CS:GO sees increase in bans after recent update

After the CS:GO update on the night of September 8, the average number of bans in the game significantly increased. This is evidenced by the statistics from ConVars, which tracks almost 9 million player accounts.

Even though the developers did not report any changes regarding their anti-cheat, over 1.8K game bans were recorded on September 8. This number exceeds the daily average by more than three times.

In the second half of July, the game saw the biggest ban wave in 2022. In two weeks, a total of over 20K accounts were blocked, after which the daily average grew from 150-200 to 500-600 bans.
