Report: Imperial close to buying chelo from MIBR for $200,000

Imperial and MIBR are in the final stages of negotiations on the transfer of Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes. According to Dust2.com.br, the deal will amount to around $200,000.

Earlier, it was reported that Cespedes was the main candidate to replace Lincoln "fnx" Lau. Imperial are expected to announce the replacement shortly.

The journalists clarified that initially MIBR did not want to sell chelo, but the desire of the esports athlete to join Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo's squad played a key role. The relatively low transfer fee is due to the fact that the player's current contract with MIBR expires at the end of this year.

chelo has represented MIBR for the past year and a half. During this time, the team often made appearances at big tournaments yet failed to succeed.

According to rumors, the reshuffle in Imperial will see not only fnx but also coach Luis "peacemaker" Tadeu departing the roster. If the information from earlier reports is confirmed, the Brazilian team will be:

 Fernando "fer" Alvarenga
 Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo
 Ricardo "boltz" Prass
 Vinicius "VINI" Figueiredo
 Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes
