daps joins Liquid as coach

Canadian coach Damian "daps" Steele has become the coach of Liquid, the North American organization announced on social media.

In the coaching position, the 28-year-old specialist replaced Eric "adreN" Hoag, who was put on the bench along with French player Richard "shox" Papillon the day before.

Prior to joining Liquid, daps had only once taken over coaching duties working for Evil Geniuses in the second half of 2021. After parting ways with the North American organization, Steele temporarily returned to the competition as a player and built the Orgless roster, which eventually disbanded three months later.

Liquid's debut with the new coach on board will take place at IEM Cologne 2022, kicking off on July 5. By the start of the prestigious LAN tournament, the team needs to decide on a candidate for the currently vacant place of the fifth player.

Current  Liquid lineup:

 Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski
 Josh "oSee" Ohm
 Nick "nitr0" Cannella
