NIP part ways with phzy and LNZ as academy team undergoes changes

As part of the academy team renewal, NIP have parted ways with Love "phzy" Smidebrant and Linus "LNZ" Holtäng, as reported in the press release on the club's official website.

phzy and LNZ have represented Young Ninjas since early 2021. In the course of last season, Holtäng was temporarily promoted to the main Ninjas roster, alongside which, among other things, he played at PGL Major Stockholm 2022. In turn, Smidebrant joined the main team in December last year, replacing Nicolai "device" Reedtz who went inactive. The young AWPer lost his place in the team following the Ludvig "Brollan" Brolin signing.

Together with the aforementioned duo, Anton "Sapec" Palmgren also left the academy and will continue his career in Hellslayers, a team built by Jesper "JW" Wecksell. There is, however, no information about where phzy and LNZ will continue to play. Both players have already announced the search for a new team on their social media.

The places of the three esports athletes who left Young Ninjas were taken by young Swedish players who have no experience of performing at a professional level.
