Sonic announces retirement

23-year-old South African esports athelte Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek has announced his retirement on Twitter. In the future, he intends to do business in the United States.

Sonic has been on the competitive scene for the past eight years. During this time, he has established himself as one of the most successful South African professional CS:GO players.

Groesbeek has played for such clubs as Bravado, ATK, Envy, Cloud9 and Extra Salt. His greatest success was with Extra Salt, where he won several regional events in North America in 2021 and also finished second at Funspark ULTI 2020.

The South African retired six months after going inactive. Then he said that the reason for this decision was the accumulated psychological fatigue.
