Team Spirit CEO on new roster: "We don't expect to win all competitions right away"

The head of the Russian organization Team Spirit Nikita Chukalin commented on the changes in the roster in the run-up to the upcoming competitive season. In the announcement on the official website, he noted that the club does not expect to have high results from the very beginning.

We think that the CS:GO team needed that hiatus so that the members could start over and approach this season with renewed vigor. Young newcomers, a new head coach, and a heightened hunger to compete - all these factors should help our CS:GO roster reach the top. Sometimes you need to take two steps back to move forward. I hope that’s our case. Of course, we don’t expect to win all competitions right away. However, we look forward to gradual progress from match to match.

The current Team Spirit lineup features Leonid "chopper" Vishnyakov, Boris "magixx" Vorobiev, Abdul "degster" Gasanov, Robert "Patsi" Isyanov and Pavel "s1ren" Ogloblin. Sergey "hally" Shavaev, who previously worked as an assistant to the ex-coach of Team Spirit Nikolay "Certus" Poluyanov, was appointed the new head coach of the team.

The first match in 2022 for Team Spirit will take place as part of Pinnacle Winter Series 2. Tomorrow, February 7, at 17:00 MSK, the Russian team will go up against the Swedes from Savage.
