First PGL Major Stockholm 2021 matchups announced

The PGL Major Stockholm 2021 organizers have revealed the list of the tournament's starting matches on their Twitter account. The prestigious tournament will kick off with eight meetings of the Challengers Stage.

In the first stage of the upcoming Major, sixteen teams will compete in a Swiss format, where three victories allow for advancing to the next stage, while three losses deprive teams of any chances of continuing the competition. The Challengers Stage will start in a best-of-one format, while a best-of-three one will be used for promotion or elimination matches.

List of the first PGL Major Stockholm 2021 matchups:

 Astralis –  Copenhagen Flames
 FaZe –  Team Spirit
 ENCE –  GODSENT
 Entropiq –  paiN
 BIG –  Virtus.pro
 Movistar Riders –  Renegades
 Heroic –  TYLOO
 MOUZ –  Sharks

Only eight best teams will advance from the Challengers Stage. NIP, Vitality, G2, Liquid, FURIA, Evil Geniuses, NAVI and Gambit will join them at the Legends Stage.

PGL Major Stockholm 2021, with $2 million of the prize money, will take place from October 26 to November 7.
