IEM Fall 2021 seeding announced
The organizers of IEM Fall 2021, on their Twitter account, have revealed the seeding of participants in the tournaments that will be held in six regions as the final qualifiers for PGL Major Stockholm 2021. The championships will take place from September 29 to October 10.
Tournaments for the CIS, North America, South America, Asia and Oceania will be held online. The European part of IEM Fall 2021 is planned in the LAN format, but the location of the event remains unknown.
The format of the tournament in Europe, CIS and North America implies group stages of best-of-one matches, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the playoffs. The decisive stages will be held in the Single Elimination best-of-three format with the best-of-five grand final.
Due to the small number of participants, the championships for South America, Asia and Oceania will come about in the Double Elimination playoff format, where the first matchups are already presented.

Once IEM Fall 2021 comes to an end, RMR ratings in all the regions will be finalized. Based on the results, 24 teams will get slots for the upcoming major. The invites will be distributed as follows: Europe - 11 slots, CIS and North America - 5 slots each, South America, Asia and Oceania - one slot each.
