MistR departs Sashi

22-year-old Danish esports athlete Mikkel "MistR" Thomsen has departed Sashi and become a free agent. He announced the move on his X social media account.

Thank you to Sashi and especially to my coaches and teammates. The past few days have been hard and it hurts to see what's happening at X. I'm happy Sashi and I mutually agreed to part ways, allowing me to step away from this crazy situation and focus on what's next.

MistR had been competing for the squad since July of last year. A few days ago, the club benched him alongside Casper "Cabbi" Jensen, bringing in Australians Tynan "TjP" Purtell and Jordan "Hatz" Bajic to replace them in an attempt to qualify for PGL Major Singapore 2026 via the Asian region (a move Valve subsequently blocked).

Sashi currently holds the 81st spot in Valve’s official world ranking of Counter-Strike 2 teams.
