BOROS disqualified from ACL 2026 for racist remarks

Tournament operator Hero Esports has announced that Alter Ego’s Mohammad "BOROS" Malhas will not be allowed to compete at the upcoming Asian Champions League 2026 Counter-Strike 2 event due to the use of "racially discriminatory language during the preparation time of 2026 ACL x CS2".

A clip circulating on X shows BOROS using offensive language toward Chinese teammates, although it remains unclear whether this specific incident is directly linked to his disqualification.

"We do not, and will not, tolerate hate speech, racism, or any form of discrimination. We are committed to fostering a respectful and inclusive environment for all participants and fans", the official statement from the organizers reads. Neither Alter Ego nor BOROS have publicly commented on the situation.

Asian Champions League 2026 will take place from May 11 to 17 in Shanghai, China. A total of 16 teams will compete for a prize pool of $150,000.
