device and Magisk part ways with Astralis
Danish esports club Astralis has officially announced changes to its Counter-Strike 2 roster. Two players, Nicolai "device" Reedtz and Emil "Magisk" Reif, have left the squad. The former moved to another team, while the latter's contract expired and was not renewed.
device is rumored to be the new AWPer for 100 Thieves. Reedtz represented Astralis for over three years, since October 2022. Magisk, in turn, joined the team on September 1st of this year, replacing Martin "stavn" Lund, who took a personal break from his career. It was reported that the latter is unlikely to return to the club's active roster for the start of the new CS2 season.
Astralis currently sits 15th in Valve's official ranking of the world's strongest Counter-Strike 2 teams. The roster placed 17th-19th at StarLadder Budapest Major 2025. The organization is rumored to be considering signing two FUT players to its CS2 squad.
