IEM Rio 2026 revealed
Tournament operator ESL has announced a new Counter-Strike 2 event – IEM Rio 2026. The competition will feature a total prize pool of $1 million, split among 16 teams.
The tournament will take place from April 13 to 19 next year in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, at the Farmasi Arena with a 19,000 seating capacity, which hosted previous IEM Rio tournaments.
Notably, IEM Rio 2024 took place from October 7 to 13, 2024, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with 16 squads participating. The prize pool of the event was $250,000. NAVI defeated MOUZ with a scoreline of 3-1 in the final. Mihai "iM" Ivan was chosen as the tournament's MVP. ESL did not host an event in Rio de Janeiro in 2025.
