Metizport buy MaiL09 from Johnny Speeds [Updated]
Update: Jack "Jackinho" Ström Mattsson returns to Metizport as an in-game leader.
16-year-old Swedish esports athlete Liam "MaiL09" Tügel has officially become the newest member of Metizport's Counter-Strike 2 roster – the organization bought him from Johnny Speeds, where he spent almost half a year.
Tügel's average rating over the past three months is 1.11 (in 71 maps). Over the course of his career as a pro Counter-Strike player, which began in 2021, MaiL09 has earned almost $10,000 in prize money.
Note that last month, Metizport announced changes to its CS2 roster – the club benched Hampus "hampus" Poser and put him up for transfer. Adam "adamb" Ångström also departed the squad due to the expiration of his contract. It is still unknown who will become the team's fifth player.
Metizport placed 31st-32nd at the recent BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 in Austin. At the moment, the team occupies 67th place in Valve's world ranking.
