BLAST explains BESTIA replacement at BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025

Tournament operator BLAST made an official statement explaining the reason for the replacement in the team list for the upcoming BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 in the United States.

According to BLAST's representative, the tournament organizers set a deadline (17:00 CEST on May 21) by which all teams must confirm that they have American visas. At this point, two BESTIA players still did not have the necessary documents. The team's manager, in turn, noted that BLAST refused to extend the deadline for them.

The statement also claims that the Argentine club "initially began the visa process incorrectly and without proper legal support".

Earlier, the CEO of the organization stated that by May 26 or 27, all BESTIA players will have the visas required to travel to the event, however, BLAST claims that the team has additional interviews scheduled for May 22 and 23, but there is no confirmation that the esports athletes will actually be issued visas based on their results.

Note that BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 will be held from June 3 to 22, 2025 in Austin, Texas. The competition will feature a prize pool of $1.25 million – it will be divided among 32 squads. Earlier, the organizers published an updated team seeding.
